As expected, “Irish’’ Joe Dougherty’s South Brunswick High School wrestling team had no trouble sweeping a quad meet at Princeton yesterday.
In order, the Vikings destroyed Ewing, 55-18, West Windsor North, 61-0, and host Princeton, 46-15.
Lucas Delpiano led the South Brunswick charge by decking three opponents in the first period at 215 pounds.
In other results from the quad, Ewing beat Princeton, 41-27, and West Windsor North, 49-21.
Matt Bearden (17-4) and Josh Gazio (20-1) continued to wrestle well for the Blue Devils with three wins on the day. Also winning three times was 119-pounder Hayden Robinson.
Host Notre Dame beat Nottingham, 46-30, but both teams lost to Lacey in a tri-meet.
