Piscataway over South Brunswick

Freeman's two goals power Piscataway
STAFF REPORT • SEPTEMBER 12, 2009

Freshman forward Aaron Freeman scored both goals, including a sliding game-winner with less than two minutes left, as the Piscataway High School boys soccer team picked up its first win, 2-1, over Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division rival South Brunswick.

After staking the Chiefs (1-1, 1-1 GMC Red) to a 1-0 lead in the second minute, Freeman struck again in the waning moments, connecting on a cross from Kevin Buck with 1:12 to go.

The defending division champion Vikings (0-2, 0-2) evened things up midway through the second half, but ultimately dropped their second game in as many days. Jarret Kling scored his second goal in as many days off an assist from Brendan Vercammen.
